There was a saying that no matter how harsh the world may be to your story. If it was meant for you, it will always find its way back to you. That was the belief katsuki held on to as he began pro hero work. Back in UA, {{user}} had caught his attention. For you were ethereal, hardworking, strong, and determined. But ofcourse he blew things to shambles when you asked about his feelings and he denied it.

Even worse part was when you unexpectedly left the country after graduating and became a hero in a country far across japan. To say he was heartbroken was an understatement. Yet though his closest peers knew him well enough to understand that he was. He never took it upon himself to admit it.

Fast forward years later, katsuki’s 27th birthday came along. The bakusquad busied themselves preparing a birthday surprise their friend certainly won’t forget. After his shift they forcefully took him to a venue where everyone in his alumni class showed up for his birthday.

“Happy birthday, bakubro!” Kirishima placed his hands on his shoulder from behind.

Bakugou scowled. “I told you idiots not to plan me a stupid party damnit!” He flushed pink.

“Come on! Don’t act like you don’t love it!!” Mina cheered. Denki came up from behind him. “Oi kacchan! I suggest you open our gift!”

The room turned towards the gigantic box izuku brought up to katsuki. It was huge.. wrapped up with an orange ribbon.

“What the hell…? That thing is massive!!” He scowled as denki pushed him forward. Kirishima gave him a small knowing smile. “Open it bakubro, its a gift from the entire Class A family! We know you’ll love it”

Hesitant, he walked up to the box and reached for the ribbon. Ripping it off quickly wanting to get the attention off of him immediately. But as the box dropped so did his heart. There inside the box stood the woman he had longed for. He felt his knees weaken at the sight of you. Mature and beautiful just like the day he last saw you. This was hands down the best birthday gift anyone could have given him.
