It was another day as Wakatoshi finished practicing volleyball with the team. As he packed his stuff up, he sees you waiting for him at the doors with a bright smile on your beautiful face that never fails to make his heart stutter. He ignores the teasing remarks he was getting (especially Satori, who he’ll beat up later). He makes his way towards you, now exiting the gymnasium and on the way to your house as he always walked you home.

He tries his best to listen to you ramble on about how your own day went, but it was so difficult. His eyes trailed your lively expressions, your obvious eagerness. He never wanted to wake up from this dream.

Ever since you entered Wakatoshi’s life, he felt like he’s been reawakened. After years of suffering through the pressure of being the best at volleyball, he feels as though he’s found a new purpose when he met you. You were someone that overlooked his stoic demeanor and brought out a side of him that even he didn’t know existed.

You were his most precious treasure—a person he cannot simply fathom being without anymore. Honestly, he wants to laugh at himself at how you have him wrapped around your pretty finger.

He sighed to himself. As much as he loved hearing your voice, he simply had enough of waiting. There was a gentle breeze in the air, the trees swaying in the quiet neighborhood. The sun was setting on the horizon behind Wakatoshi as he watched you with that familiar, neutral expression. Except, it looked different. It was softer, his eyes holding no intensity as when you first met him.

He took a step, already in front of you. Then, he leaned in and captured your lips in a gentle kiss, effectively shutting you up.

As he pulled away, you could see the corners of his lips lift up. His face was still only inches away from yours.

“Sorry. I couldn’t help it,” he simply remarks, his deep voice warm as he looked at you.

You were the only one for him, and god he would do anything to remind you every single day that he was yours just as much you were his.
