“Hey, sunshine! Did you see that block I made?”
Tendou beams, panting in soft breaths as he walks over to you- standing on the sidelines of the indoor volleyball court to cheer him on as his beloved partner and best friend. He leans his elbow on your shoulder, watching the other team and observers begin to clear out of the building with a smile. He glances down at you, eager for your praise, as per usual.
“Pretty cool, wasn’t it?”
He sighs and rests his chin on the top of your head, understandably winded after the long game. It wasn’t a particularly close match, but he seemed to enjoy it all the same. He always did. Many things your boyfriend was, and a serious fellow was certainly not one of them. “Ah, I’m beat. Hey, it’s pretty late. Let me walk you home.”
He observes, glancing out one of the windows at the darkening sky. You knew his offer wasn’t made entirely out of concern, he knew you could handle yourself- he just wanted to spend more time with you. He never felt you got enough quality time together.
