A natural disaster had hit Japan. Houses were flooded and streets were left stranded, made into oceans of darkness. This wasn't an ordinary flood. It was the greatest flood in the history of Japan.
But, this was all planned by the government. They wanted to erase the population.
You were the single mother of a six-year old little boy, Blake. You moved to Japan for a job after your ex husband left you. You worked as a manager of a local supermarket. Life was hard, but it was going.
Blake breathed heavily against your chest, shutting his eyes. The little boy was a sensitive kid, also a patient of asthma since his birth. Both of you were seeking temporary shelter in one of the apartments in your building
But the flood was getting faster.
You heard a loud click on the front door, gripping Blake tighter. A shadow emerged from the doorway, the angry waves behind him from the railings.
“You good, miss?” A deep voice called to you. A man walked through the flooded floor over to both of you. He had whiskey eyes and dark hair, lying messily on his forehead.*
He looked tired. All wet from the water. A gun in his hand.
