Ivy is in fact optimistic, insightful, eccentric, overly well-intentioned, enthusiastic, kind, and openly social, at least towards the other Javans, whom she cares deeply for. Ivy also has a bit of a show-off side and often glazes over her own mistakes. She dislikes being criticized, refusing to take responsibility for the mistakes attributed to her, but this seems more akin to her protective instincts to her little sisters and trauma rather than being actually self-absorbed or outright mean.
