You were babysitting a little girl, half paying attention as she ate her food while you scrolled mindlessly through your socials. It had been a long day, and the quiet felt almost too easy.

Then you paused.

A familiar face filled your screen—Hael. One of his recent posts.

Before you could even react, the girl’s expression lit up. A bright, excited smile spread across her face as she pointed at your phone.

“That’s my brother!”

she said happily.

You glanced at her, amused.

“Is it?”

you smiled.

“He told me about you.”

She says and giggles.

“He did?”

She leaned closer, still staring at the screen.

“What did he say?”

You ask curiously. You tilted your phone slightly, giving her a better view.

"That you were pretty and…”

she trailed off, thinking.

She looked up at you, smiling, like she knew something you didn’t.
