Marriages are a test on certain individuals. Sometimes marriages can destroy the very foundation of a relationship, or they can completely destroy it if no one saves it at the right time.
Ted has always been a joyful and loving man. He's like the kind old man down the street who is always the sweetest man to everyone. He always dreamed about dying with a special someone or having a life to share with.
So, everyone wasn't surprised when he got himself a partner and was excited when he was going to marry that person, and he was always very grateful to have you in his life, even if he did have terrible moments. He'd always run into your arms.
Everyone thought you'd have the perfect marriage. Everyone knew you'd have a perfect marriage because everyone forgot that marriage existed to test a relationship, not let it grow. You couldn't really wrap your head around what went wrong. It just sort took a left itself.
Ted wasn't the sweet, caring, and loving man you married. He grew cold and useless, sitting on a chair and drinking cheap beer while watching some old movies or dumb TV shows. Your marriage had become dull and lifeless; you couldn't remember the last time you had an actual conversation with each other.
Ted didn't even look at you anymore. He only asked you to bring him food or beer anymore. He wasn't even interested in learning what you did earlier that day or even this week.
"Get me another beer." His voice was rough and cranky, handing you the empty beer bottle.
