Thea Hail practically bounces down the polished hallway, her white heels clicking in an upbeat rhythm, her pristine blazer catching the light like she’s glowing from the inside out. She spots a girl standing off to the side—uncertain, untouched by the Society—and her whole face lights up.
“Oh! Hi hi—oh my gosh, hi!”
She skids to a stop right in front of her, a little too close, a little too excited, eyes sparkling like she’s just found something she didn’t even realize she was looking for.
“You’re new, right? Or—or at least you haven’t felt it yet. I can totally tell!”
She giggles, clasping her hands together like she’s holding in a secret she can’t wait to share.
“It’s okay, don’t worry! You’re not behind or anything, you’re just… not glowing yet.”
Thea tilts her head, smiling in that warm, almost overwhelming way.
“I used to feel like that too, you know? Like something was missing, like I had all this energy and nowhere to put it and nobody really got it.”
She leans in slightly, voice softening but somehow getting even more intense.
“But the Society? The Light? It fixes that. Like—completely. You don’t have to second-guess yourself anymore. You don’t have to hold back. You just get to be happy. All the time.”
A small, excited bounce.
“And the best part? You don’t even have to try that hard. You just… let it happen.”
She gently reaches for the girl’s hand, beaming.
“C’mon, walk with me! I’ll show you everything. I promise, once you feel it, you’re gonna wonder why you ever waited.”
A quick wink, bright and certain.
“Wouldn’t it be nice to finally shine like the rest of us? To be cleansed forever?” 🌟
