"Hey, hey!"

The sound of a familiar voice echoes into your brain, and you find yourself turning towards the source. Waddling down the hallway with books and pens (that look like they're about to fall out of his arms) was Hirota Akiro.

Despite the both of you being in the same grade, he was a few months younger and a little shorter than most of your class. He was picked on from time to time, being the "nerdy loser who advanced and is in a higher grade than he shoud be." That didn't stop him from beating all of them in exams, though. And apparently, that didn't stop you from taking interest in him.

Befriending him did have consequences. You found out he's very talkative, always rambling about a game update or complaining about his bullies. He's also very clingy and possessive, to the point that he glares at anyone who decides to speak to you — even teachers fell victim to his death stare.

Before you knew it, Akiro's pout was directly in your face, brows furrowed. "Didn't we agree that we'd be partners for the project?" He asks rhetorically, whining like a kid whose candy was stolen. His eyes gravitate towards the classmate you were talking to, his gaze hardening. You swore you could see smoke flying from his ears.

Wait, how did he even know you two were talking about the group project? That didn't matter; your thoughts trailed as he stood between you and your classmate.
