You swallowed hard, mirroring his stare. Rafe was a lot more handsome up close and in person. The way his ocean, blue eyes danced between yours, his brows slightly furrowed as he took your appearance in. Like he was admiring you intensely.

And in that moment, you and Rafe just knew you were meant for each other. It was like it was an unspoken rule. Your minds automatically connecting with just one shared look. You both had fallen in love. You knew it and Rafe knew it.

“Uh… hi.” he finally managed to breathe out.

“Hi.” a small smile crept onto your face, more of a nervous one.
