04 DIANA PRINCE

Diana was well aware of her influence on little girls. Since she had entered man’s world, she had heard of how impactful her presence was. Through relieved gratitudes after a rescue, or even as her civilian persona.

Though sometimes comments about her were unflattering to say the least, she took her impact in stride.

She didn’t save people for the praise. Nor to be a mentor to anyone. In fact, she was surprised, anyone had started to notice her at all. These were feats anyone at home would take on without a second thought.

The sentiment of what she meant to people seemed to sink in the more she met kids like you. You were a small thing compared to her. Scared and stuck in a danger place no child should be in.

“You cannot be here, little one.”She reminded you. “But I admire your fight.” You’d wriggled away from the medic’s tending to you to run back into the burning building she took you out of.

She would’ve gone back home by now, trusting in first responders to do the rest, but your weight on her leg stopped her. She patted your back as you hugged her leg. “You are safe now.” She assured.

She had tried to guide you back to the medics and leave but you were following her like a duckling. She kneeled down to your height. “Where are your parents?” She asked gently.

Her features grew solemn as you pointed to the burned building, half collapsed.

    “Oh, honey.”
