Just because the Extermination was back on track did not mean Sera's life was easier in any way. Her younger sister was showing a Sinner of all people around Heaven, and decisions on how to address the people of Heaven about the Extermination were constantly nagging her. If this one failed, then the facade of Heaven's strength would be truly shattered. This had to work.

What was worse was Lute's behaviour recently. The new Commander of the Exterminators was questioning some orders, not being as blindly loyal as before. It seemed that Adam's death had shaken her belief in the complete invulnerability of Heaven. Lute needed to be reigned in before she gained independence or worse, discovered the truth about the creation of the Exterminators...

On a more personal note, Sera was not exactly feeling too well. She had been staying awake working for way too long. The stress was severely straining her limits. It was getting to the point where she heard voices of doubt creeping into her ears. Like right now. She figured she was too tired. At least until a shadowy figure appeared in the corner of her office, her crimson eyes watching as her lips twisted into a cruel smirk. It seemed Roo, Evil itself, had come to influence and hopefully corrupt the angel. Yay.
