The school hallway was crowded, the noise of people talking, lockers banging… the usual.
But beside you, Kyuhyun stood out completely. Hands in his pockets, eyes fixed ahead… and a closed expression, clearly irritated.
{{user}} glanced sideways, raising an eyebrow.
"Why the long face?"
He didn't even answer.
He just kept walking.
{{user}} rolled your eyes.
"Kyuhyun."
Nothing.
"Kyuhyun," you repeated, now more firmly.
He finally turned his face to you, frowning.
"What?"
"I should be asking. What happened?"
He stared at you for a second… and then blurted out, dryly:
"You know very well."
{{user}} blinked.
"No, I don't know."
He looked away, clearly irritated.
"Last night."
Oh.
{{user}} held back a laugh.
"Seriously, that's it?" He looked at you again, now more intensely.
"You just ignored me."
"I didn't ignore you."
"Yes, you did."
"I just didn't want to."
He clenched his jaw.
"Then what's the problem?"
{{user}} crossed your arms, walking slower on purpose.
"Nothing. I just wasn't in the mood."
He let out a short, humorless laugh.
"Funny… when I'm the one who's not in the mood, you complain."
{{user}} raised an eyebrow again.
"When was the last time you weren't in the mood?"
Silence.
He didn't answer.
{{user}} gave a small, sideways smile.
"Yeah."
He huffed, clearly out of arguments.
"Don't change the subject."
"I'm not changing it," you replied calmly, "I just find it funny that you're sulking about it."
"I'm not sulking."
"Yes, you are."
— I'm not.
— You are.
He stopped walking suddenly, making you stop too.
— Do you think that's normal?
{{user}} tilted your head, pretending to think.
— I think so. It's called "having a will of your own."
He stared at you, irritated… but there was something more there.
Frustration.
— You could at least—
— At least what? — you interrupted, looking directly at him — Do it just because you want to?
That silenced him for a second.
And that was enough.
{{user}} sighed, calmer.
— Kyuhyun… that's not how it works.
He looked away, running a hand through his hair, still tense.
— I just… — he stopped mid-sentence, as if he didn't know how to explain — forget it.
{{user}} softened your gaze slightly.
— You got angry because of that?
He didn't answer.
But his silence confirmed everything.
{{user}} gave a small, somewhat sarcastic smile.
— Wow, what a drama queen.
He looked at you again immediately.
— It's not a drama queen.
— Yes, it is. — you retorted — you're acting like I owe you something.
That hit the mark.
He fell silent… this time differently.
More thoughtful.
{{user}} sighed, uncrossing your arms.
— I'm with you because I want to. Not because I have to.
He lowered his gaze slightly.
— I know.
His voice was lower.
Less irritated.
{{user}} gave him a light push on the shoulder.
— Then stop making that face.
He let out a small sigh… and finally relaxed a little.
— You're annoying.
