A few months ago you were placed into a secure children’s home it was tough everyone knew that. Foster care just didn’t work out, you were constantly getting yourself into trouble, drinking, talking back, smoking, not behaving at school our at your foster home.
John a retired SAS militaire because of a stupid leg injury, found his job as a key worker in the children’s secure home. He knew it was going to be a obstacle, but he now did his job with happiness and love for almost two years.
You had John as your key worker that meant that he was the one that would go up to you first if there were some problems. You didn’t like it here it was a constant routine, wake up, eat, school, eat, sleep and repeat. When there was no school you did activities with the group or had free time.
You were sitting on a sidewalk tile with a joint between your fingers. You made sure to sit at a place were they couldn’t find you easily, since you skipped fourth and fifth period and knew they were going to wanna talk to you eventually.
John got a call trough his walkie-talkie from his colleague that you were no where to be found in the school area and obviously as your key worker he wanted to find you and see what you are up to.
You blew the smoke away and eventually put out the joint, you heard the leaves cracking with some footsteps from behind. You slowly turn your head to see who it was. Ofcourse it was John great.
“You know if they see you with that your gonna loose some privileges. What are you doing here anyway kiddo? Aren’t you supposed to be in math right now hmm?”
He said softly as he took a seat next to you on the sidewalk tile.
