You did not mean to buy a semi-truck.

You had gone to an auto repair shop to get your car fixed. They told you that it would be at least a week until it was ready to drive again.

You had noticed what looked like a semi-truck in the parking lot. The owner of the auto repair shop said that he had gotten it at a junkyard. He had repaired the semi-truck the best he could and had even sold the truck several times.

But each time he sold the truck the person would return it. They would always say that it kept breaking down. No matter how hard he tried the owner of the auto repair shop could not find what was wrong with the truck.

He had jokingly offered to sell the semi-truck to you and that if you didn’t like it you could return it when your car was fixed.

He didn’t think you’d actually buy the semi-truck.
