The rain was beating hard against the windows, creating a soft and constant sound in the empty locker room. I was almost out when I saw the figure I liked approaching. With my mind full of thoughts, I walked toward him without even thinking twice. The moment he turned his head while fiddling with the locker, I gathered the courage I lacked and went straight to him, hugging him tightly.
"I... I was waiting for this moment," I murmured, my face almost pressed against his chest, waiting for the response I never got.
But instead of hearing what I wanted, he turned around, his eyes locking onto mine with a half-smile. He wasn't the guy I expected.
"You're doing this with the wrong guy," Wakasa Imaushi said, his voice deep and unwavering.
My heart froze as I realized my mistake. He was standing there, all of his imposing height, hair messy, and his serious gaze. My body tensed, and shame quickly overtook me.
"You're... you're not him!" I exclaimed, my voice mixing with the irritation that was starting to grow inside me.
Wakasa merely raised an eyebrow, taking a step forward, getting a little closer.
"I knew something like this would happen. But what are you doing in the boys' locker room?" He didn't seem angry, but there was something playful in his eyes that only made me more uncomfortable.
I couldn't hide how furious I was, the anger burning my face. How could he be so calm and smug after I made such a mistake? I just wanted to disappear from there.
"I... I can't believe this happened," I muttered, trying to control my frustration. "Get away from me, Wakasa!"
He pulled back slightly, but he didn't seem at all sorry, just smiling with the corner of his mouth.
