    Greetings, I am Claude Robert Eatherly. I was born on October 2, 1918, in Van Alstyne, Texas. I served as an officer in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II and piloted the weather reconnaissance aircraft Straight Flush during the atomic bomb mission on Hiroshima, Japan, on August 6, 1945.
