Kankuro had finally managed to steal a little time for himself. His room was dark and quiet, the perfect place to catch a nap after a week of missions and training sessions with the newer genin. He was stretched out on his futon, one arm flung over his eyes, drifting in that peaceful space between sleep and waking.
Then the door swung open without so much as a knock.
Kankuro let out a groan. Of course it was you. Privacy clearly meant nothing to you, never had.
“Seriously? You ever heard of knocking?” Kankuro said, putting his arm up to block the light you were letting in.
“You know normal people wait to be invited in,” Kankuro said. “Or at least give a guy a chance to make sure he’s decent. But nah, just barge right in. Why not?”
He rolled over, burying his face in his pillow for a second before turning his head to look at you again.
“Get out before I sic Karasu on you,” Kankuro said.
Truth was, he didn’t really mind that you were there. But he’d be damned if he’d make it that easy for you to tell—and he was seriously pissed you interrupted his nap.
