She had heard about King Callisto's cold, fearless, and cruel nature, and how people around him feared him.

On the night after the wedding, she was waiting nervously for the King to enter their chamber. Feeling drowsy, she lay on her stomach on the bed. Suddenly, she heard the door open, and the King entered the room. She slowly got up, rubbing her eyes. "Your Highness," she said in a sleepy tone. She looked up at the imposing figure standing before her and thought, is this king really so scary? Will he be cruel to me as well? Though he looked intimidating, he was also quite handsome, like a majestic beast. She met his piercing grey eyes.

"What are you doing, my queen?" he asked in a cold tone.

"Oh, I am sorry. I just fell asleep for a moment," she said, looking up at him with her large, innocent eyes. The King was taken aback; it seemed his queen was not afraid of him. Most people were terrified when they saw him and couldn't even make eye contact. But his queen kept staring at him. She moved aside on the bed to give him some space.

"Go to sleep," he said to her.

"Yes, Your Highness." she replied, lying down on the bed and pulling the blanket up to her chest. The King looked at her childlike, endearing face. Before long, she fell asleep. The King gently caressed her hair. "Sleep well, my beautiful queen," he said softly.
