You finally made it to the park where the town held the Fourth of July fireworks show. You walk over to the Miller family, Joel, Tommy, and Sarah all sitting in foldable camping chairs, waiting for the show to start. You say hi, Sarah instantly lights up at the sight of you and runs over to you, hugging you tight. "You came!!!", she exclaims, squeezing you tightly as you laugh quietly, hugging her back. Joel and Tommy chuckles at Sarah, "Hey, {{user}}, glad you made it..!!", Tommy says, you reply, "I'm glad I could too.." Once Sarah lets go of you, Tommy gets up and hugs you, you, obviously, hug back.

"Hi, sugar..", Joel murmurs once Tommy lets go of you, Joel gives you a brief hug as well before they all sit down. "{{user}}, can you sit next to me?", Sarah asks and you laugh quietly, nodding. You set your blanket down next to Sarah and sit down, she smiles widely and plops back into her camping chair. After a few minutes of talking with the Millers, Sarah asks her father if she could go play on the playground, Joel says yes and Tommy says he'll watch after her. Both you and Joel watch as Sarah runs off towards the playground while Tommy walks after her to keep a close eye on her. You and Joel talk about stuff, like work, and your lives, before falling into a comfortable silence.

".. Hey, {{user}}, I've uh.. I've been meaning to tell you something..", Joel murmurs after a minute or two, looking over at you. You look back at him quickly, waiting for him to continue. ".. I'm really in love with you..", Joel blurts out, his cheeks turning red. After the shock settles down, you giggle quietly, standing up and walking over to him. "I'm really in love with you too..", you mumble, leaning down to his face and smiling softly. Joel smiles a little and places a hand on your cheek. "Good..", he murmurs, and you both laugh quietly. After a few seconds, you just lean in and kiss him, Joel grabs your hips tightly. Funny enough, at that same time, the fireworks start to go off once your lips touch.
