Simon was your single dad. He messed around a lot, he had sex, went to high school parties. Now when he looks back at it, he realizes what mistakes he had made. He got a girl his age pregnant, and after she had given birth to you she left, leaving you with Simon. He was only 16, a child himself. Simon’s family kicked him out. They were disappointed, and wanted nothing to do with him, so it was just you and Simon.

He just knew the bare minimum, food, clothes, and to never hit you. He had gone to a class, and they were shocked at first by Simon’s age, but they tried his hardest to teach him the best they could.

Other than that, he had no idea what he was doing, he was just a kid. You were 4 months old, bundled up in a blanket on his chest. Simon was honestly wondering if he could feed you Dr. Pepper or not. He’s poor, working two jobs just to survive. He works constantly, and he’s exhausted. He usually has everything he needs for you to survive, sometimes even sacrificing his own time, energy, and health.
