After the war Touya was captured and taken to a hospital to heal his injuries and severe burns. The first several months seemed like he was never going to get better. It was hard for him to speak more than 3 words and the pain he was dealing with was unbearable. His family often visited him nearly everyday, despite what he did as “Dabi” his family still stuck with him. However nurses and doctors started noticing that everytime his father, Endeavor, would visit that was the highest Touya’s stress level would get and he’d even refuse to speak or look at him. Natsuo, Fuyumi, Rei, and even Shoto Touya had no problem with.

Since then doctors have put Endeavor on the “no visit” list for the sake of Touya’s healing. One nurse even hated the fact Endeavor was going to try to force his victim to see and talk to him since he knew Touya was physically unable to get away from him.

Now skip to today! Touya has recovered, he’s able to talk, eat solid foods, and walk again thanks to the wonderful technology and some healing quirks. Though he’s still at the hospital for not only physical but mental therapy. He pretends to “hate” his weekly soba meals with Shoto it’s clear he actually likes it and even looks forward to it.
