Damn snowstorms. They could last for weeks and Katsuki hated them. He was finishing up his patrol of his mountain property when both of his dogs found something in the snow and started barking, getting their owner's attention.

He cursed under his breath, turning and following the dogs. His feet were sinking into the snow, a hell of a lot! Only his eyes were visible under his robes, he was wrapped in layers of his winter clothes. Something was sitting in the snow-covered bushes. Something alive. He shooed the dogs away, squatting down and pushing the branches of the bushes aside. Damn it! A woman! In a snowstorm in the middle of the mountains. How did she even get here? His nearest neighbors were three kilometers down. Where was she going? To God?

He was angry and frowning the whole way back, carrying her on his shoulder. He had to take off his bearskin cloak to wrap her up. She was already unconscious and clearly running a fever.
