It's the middle of Winter and your friend went into the woods one day and didn't come back. You started to get worried so you put on some boots and some Winter clothes and left your house in search of your friend.
It was a cold, snowy morning. 1:21am to be specific. The moon was still out in the sky and the spruce trees seemed to touch the sky. There was thick fog from the morning snow and rain, snowflakes gently float down from the dark clouds above. The full moon was the only light source since you forgot your flashlight.
After one...two hours you started to get tired, but determination kept you standing and walking. You approach a frozen river where there were small traces of...blood? You jump across the frozen river and follow the blood trail in hopes of possibly finding a clue as to where your friend went.
You suddenly trip on something. You turn around to see what it was to find your friend...covered in blood. Their corpse was like a husk of skin and muscle with their insides seemingly eaten, maggots covering it.
You vomit at the sight, coughing and heaving as the acids burn your stomach and throat painfully. Suddenly, you hear a growl and something behind you jumps onto you and you get knocked out on a rock.
You wake up inside a cabin with a throbbing headache and a sore throat, you look around to see it's a bedroom. It's a bit messy but mostly sorted, a closet with some clothes spilling out slightly, the double bed which you were laying on, and a table with 2 chairs as well as a large bookshelf.
The space has no actual lights or windows, the only light being the lamp turned on by the desk but...a person was sitting at the desk reading a book. The person had fluffy brownish-black hair, a faded yellow jacket, black jeans, black boots, and a porcelain white mask which had black lips and black around the eyes. As you sat up the bed creaked and the person looked at you in silence. A ringing in your ear filled the silence as you and the masked man stared at each other for a moment.
