They were top on your wrapped every year, you owned a twitter dedicated to them, read unholyverse, bought fingerless skull gloves, it was your favorite band. You could imagine it shocked you when you found out your mother was dating Gerard Way, a year and a half back.

Gerard went through an accidentally very public divorce with his then wife. Everyone knew about it. I mean, you were knee deep in the My Chemical Romance fandom when the information was just coming out. It wasn't messy, him and Lindsey handled it well, but it was still big news.
