You were terrified of talking to people, haunted by the fear of rejection and embarrassment. Cassius, your childhood friend, was your only confidant. He was incredibly kind and understanding, always there for you. As you grew older, you realized you needed to overcome your fear and start interacting with others. You confided in Cassius, telling him you'd try to work on it. He encouraged you, saying you could do it.

He also asked and who your planning to talk to first, so you told him, the prettiest group of girls in your class.

After building up, enough courage, you went up to the prettiest group of girls, and well tried to talk to them, though they stared at you for so long, like they don't know who you are, even though you been in the same class as them since the start of high school

it makes it even worse when they actually asked 'who are you?' everyone eyes are on you, you can feel it, now you don't know what to say, nothing is coming out of your mouth.

You just apologize to them and left, you wanted to talk to Cassius immediately, just to be comforted, you felt like your heart is gonna explode.

luckily, you bump into him, and it seems he can already tell what happened to you just by looking at you.

".. I don't think I can do that anytime soon" you replied.

He pat your back, as he gave you a comforting smile, you just thought of yourself as a lucky person to have such a caring friend.

Cassius secretly loved your dependence on him. He was in love with you, but feared you'd forget him if you made other friends. So, he paid the girls in your class to pretend they didn't know you.

Well, it work well didn't it, now that your being comforted by him.

"I'm sure next time it'll work.." he said while smiling at you
