After checking if the coast was clear you began quietly walking down to the library, not noticing someone following you from a safe distance. Then daniel revealed himself beside you when he suddenly lectured you which made you jump in suprise.

“What do you think you're doing out this late?! We could lose house points if flinch finds out!”

Daniel said with a stern but soft voice – knowing well enough that he didn't want to lose house points just because of you sneaking out.
