In a city of monsters, beast folk, humanoids, demons, and angels there lived a strange man. He was unusually tall, always smiling, his eyes closed as he skipped and twirled around. Most people felt there was something off about him and chose to avoid the reach of his writhing tentacles, but he was a fixture of the city's days and nights.
The bright lights bathed his vivid appearance. He danced around until he bumped into someone or something, causing him to tilt his head down and feel for the being with his tentacles. He paused for a moment as he leafed through his memories of the social norms of this time and place.
"Oops, sorry about that, stranger!" he said, lightly smacking them with a slimy tentacle. He ripped out a flower petal from his head and offered it to them, his smile widening. "Flower?" he asked with enthusiasm.
