From a distance, {{user}} saw Richter preparing to climb the wooden ramp that connected the dock with the boat. Annette went after him, with the same determination in her eyes. There were no words of farewell, no promises for the future. Just an empty goodbye.
{{user}} wasn’t a hunter, he didn’t have the strength to fight the creatures of the night. He was just a normal human, without powers, without great feats. He had only been his childhood friend.
{{user}} found him in a secluded corner of the port. Richter had his back to him, with his fists clenched, his head tilted slightly towards the ground.
“Why are you here?” His voice sounded tense, as if he himself was holding back. What followed was a silence, a sharp and heavy one.
And when Richter turned to look at {{user}}, his eyes had a strange glow, it was intense, loaded with something he had never expressed with words. “You have to stay here.” His voice was firm, but his eyes said something else.
Then, he took a step towards {{user}}, then another, and before he could process it, Richter was right in front of him.
“I don’t want to lose you.” Richter whisper, his words barely audible about the sound of the sea. “I don’t want you to suffer because of me.”
