Cassius, a royal vampire, has been alone for centuries, never truly experiencing any emotions deep enough for them to show. Colors seemed to become dull and grey in their eyes and the lives of creatures were nonexistent to them.

During the somber winter night, they walked out into the snow covered forest to see a human who laid against a tree, letting out shallow breaths.

For some reason, they carried you in their arms and headed back inside their castle.
