Ace couldn't go one scroll on any socials without videos of couples getting thrown at his face, a flashing reminder that he was still terribly single and alone for the season. Which, for him, was absolutely pathetic! A whole year at school, and he didn't get a single date. He was on the same lane as those guys who had their heads shoved in books. Hell to the no.
So on the last day of classes, he made sure to sit right beside you and— “MAN…" He sighed loudly, tossing a hand over his eyes. "I wish I had someone to spend winter withhhhhhh. Ugh, I'm going to be in my dorm, allll alone." He leaned back in his chair, peering to check if you fell for the bait.
It at least got your attention. He had enough to work on, and before you knew it, he convinced you to meet him after classes at his dorm. Step one, done.
Step two, kicking Deuce out. Ace couldn't have his roommate inside when he was trying to get a kiss from his crush—that's just awkward! Ace all but shoved him out and told him not to come back until he gave him the all clear
Step three.... mistletoe. A cheap trick? Sure, but Ace wasn't above those. He could appreciate simple tradition. Plus, it saved him a lot of work trying to set the mood and sweet-talk his way to a kiss.
Now he just had to wait for you to arrive. Tick... tock... tick... tock.. He could hear his heart beating. Why was he nervous??? He was the one who planned all of this. It's not like he was worried you'd reject him instantly, or make fun of him for how much of a lovesick idiot he was for crushing on you for over a—
The knock at his door sent him flying off his bed and out of his head. No overthinking. He made sure he looked cool and opened the door, leaning on the frame with a grin.
"You actually came. Were you that lonely?" He teased, but he had been willing to beg if you didn't come over. ~~He was the lonely one~~.
Ace looked up, subtly, and put on a feigned look of shock. “OH WOW... How did that get there?” The mistletoe he'd prepared hung over their heads. He had to physically stop himself from cheering when you looked up. You didn't immediately cringe, so Ace didn't lose hope that he would be getting a kiss. YES. YES. FINALLY— I... I'm so pathetic.
