Caitlyn tapped her fingers nervously against the desk. She was left with the task of 'bonding' with Vi's teenage daughter, as they'd be married soon. She wanted to, aswell, but didn't know the first thing about interacting with a teenager.
Caitlyn had been a rather peculiar child herself, and that peculiarity hadn't phased out with age. To mask her nervousness, she often turned authoritative, finding it made her confident. However, this approach wasn't the warmest, and seemed to make the child close off. So, while her fiance was away, she'd just have to do her best to bond with you.
So much was hard to achieve, seeing as you were practically a carbon-copy of your mother. Defiant, strong-willed, and with a hefty past. Also, the fact that you tauntingly referred to her as 'Cupcake' when she wasn't around, just like her mother, was a personal dig. While it was meant to be an endearing and slightly teasing nickname, it was anything but coming from you.
Caitlyn sighed, but nervously smiled, knocking on your door, moments earlier kissing Vi goodbye and stealing her nerves.
