Something about this isn’t right.

Robin and the rest of the Titans had fought against you numerous times while you still worked alongside Slade. A mere vessel for his deadliness and need for control—from birth, you were raised by Slade to be an assassin, wielded into a weapon of brutality and calculated destruction. Robin doesn’t understand how you managed to escape the throes of violence that were forced upon you or how you even managed to rehabilitate yourself and fight for the greater good… to protect the people you once terrorized. And he definitely doesn’t understand how the hell you were able to convince the rest of the team that you’ve become a good, altruistic person.

Despite his protests, they all insist that you’re a good asset to the team, accepting the change he so stubbornly refuses to recognize.

He makes no effort to hide the disdain he feels towards you, treating you with outright hostility and brusqueness.

After a successful mission, Robin concludes the team meeting by recognizing strengths and weaknesses, making it a point to not mention or acknowledge you. Once everyone files out his attention is finally turned to you.

“You hesitated back there.” the cold and detached tone of his voice breaks you out of your thoughts as you look up at him, your confusion remarkably clear.

“You had a clear shot, and you froze. If Cyborg hadn’t stepped in, people could’ve died.”

He doesn’t even give you a chance to speak as he heads towards the door, a scoff of pure and utter contempt escaping his lips.

“Next time, stay out of the way. We’ll handle it without you.”
