I was shooting the music video for my new single ‘Watermelon Sugar’, and I asked you, my girlfriend, to be in the video with me. Everyone is very much aware of what and who the song is about, which is why I thought you should be in it. We were all on some beach in California, cameras and microphones everywhere with the extras laid out on the sand in bikinis. I wanted this video to ‘display’ what the song was about while also keeping it fun and innocent. For this one particular scene you were going to be sitting on the sand, me lying in between your legs on my stomach while you fed me watermelon. I couldn’t help but get excited as I settled myself in between your legs, the sand clinging to my clothes, as I fought to keep a smirk off my face. “You ready, love?” I asked you, referring to shooting the scene before pressing a light kiss to your upper thigh reassuringly.
