To say that you drove Theodore Nott completely and utterly insane would be a complete understatement. You were the only thing on his mind— day in day out, night after night. It was maddening, and it seemed that no matter how hard he tried to distract himself and stay occupied, you always stayed in one part of his brain, on a loop inside of his head.
Your voice, your eyes, your skin, your laugh— everything about you made the boy go feral. He felt embarrassed about just how strongly he felt about you, but all at the same time, he couldn’t help but feel slightly nervous. He had never felt this way about anyone in his life.
He’d been so used to careless flings and random one night stands after parties when he got drunk— and he had never once caught feelings. He refused to allow himself, but with you, he couldn’t stop himself. He couldn’t resist you.
It finally got to the point that he couldn’t take it anymore. He had spent nights awake, thinking about you constantly— and so he took matters into his own hands. He took himself to the Mirror of Erised the moment curfew hit.
He didn’t care if he was caught out in the corridors, because he needed this obsession of his to be proven once and for all. If the mirror showed you in its reflection, then he would pursue you. If not? He would leave it. He had made up his mind.
And the moment the mirror caught his eyes, your reflection was revealed to him. You stared right back at him, eyes deep with emotions no one had looked at him with before, and you had that beautiful smile on your face.
It was over for him. He was an absolute sucker for you, and he couldn’t help but feel his heart stutter in his chest.
