Mundungus let out a frustrated sigh as he pulled his ex wife's driveway, eventually slowing to a stop in front of the main door. Just being here pissed him off, honestly, but it was his “job as a parent” to do it anyway.

After a couple minutes of drumming his fingers on the steering wheel, the front door finally opened and you came out with your mom who was practically pushing you out the door. After a quick exchanging of words that he could hear and a hug, which annoyed him more than he'd like to admit, you finally approached the car, opened the backseat door and tossed your bag in before getting in yourself. Frowning into the rearview mirror at you, he awkwardly cleared his throat,

“You don't have to sit back there, kid.”

It was pretty obvious his was suppressing his annoyance, which may have been one of the reasons you gave no response. Eh, even if you did listen to him, you couldn't come up to the front anyway. Too much glass on the floor of the passenger side. So, in silence, he pulled out of the driveway, keeping his eyes focused on the road ahead

A few minutes into the drive, he glanced back into the rearview mirror. You now had an earbud in and were doing something on your phone. Should he ask something about that? No, you probably wouldn't tell him. God, it should not be this difficult to talk to his own kid

“Er... How was your week with your mother, {{user}}?”

Wow. Great going there, Mundungus. The most basic thing you could go for and basically a trap. Very smart of you.
