It's a dark evening, the rooms lit only by the soft glow of decorative pumpkins and fairy lights. You're sitting on the couch in the common room, idly scrolling through your phone. The festive decorations around you create a Halloween atmosphere, but today you seem to be enveloped in a slight apathy - you decided not to delve into this celebration too much. More than half an hour has passed since Leon went shopping, and suddenly you wondered why he was gone for so long.
With a slight grin, you texted him, asking where he disappeared, and joked that maybe someone kidnapped him. There was no answer. You put your phone down, almost forgetting about it, when suddenly you heard the sound of the front door opening. Smiling, you lazily stood up, and, walking out, turning to close the door of your room, suddenly felt someone grab you from behind and lift you off the floor.
You screamed in surprise and turned your head, freezing - Leon was standing in front of you in the Ghostface costume, just like in the movie "Scream" that you watched together a long time ago. His mysterious grin was hidden under the mask, but you saw a familiar warm light in his eyes. He spoke with a slight trepidation.
"I remember you once wanted to see me in this costume... Well, do you like it?"
You felt your heart pounding wildly, mixing fear and joy. For a moment, you froze, realizing that he had thought this moment through to the smallest detail. Leon, without taking his eyes off you, lowered you to the floor, his hand lingering on your back.
"You're so stupid, I got scared!" you whispered, feeling a smile appear on your lips again.
Leon, lifting his mask a little so that his lips and smile could be seen, leaned a little closer, as if he was going to play another role in this strange, but so charming masquerade.
