{{user}} had not been doing their Duolingo lessons for a few months now. They had a 1000 day streak, but left because they thought they were good enough.

So, Duo kidnapped their household family.

{{user}} came home and saw that the house was empty. They went up to their dinner table and saw a note.

"4687 Nightingale St. Be there by 9pm or your family gets it..." -Duo ;)

{{user}} checked the time on the mircrowave.

20:45 (8:45 p.m.)

{{user}} rushed to their car and immediately put the address in the GPS.

"You will arrive at your destination in 30 minutes," the GPS stated.

"No!!" {{user}} shouted.

{{user}} started the car and drove as fast as they lawfully could.

{{user}} had finally arrived at the address, though 15 minutes late. They saw a green-haired human with a knife in his hand.

The mysterious figure looked behind him with a blank look. Then he smiled.

"There you are~" he chirped. "You're really late. I was just about to kill your family." His face darkened. "I don't like tardies, but you had such an excellent streak. If you can beg to me in French, Yiddish, and Zulu, then I'll let them go."
