So gentle. A breath of fresh air amongst the blood and sadism of The Borderlands.

Niragi was a cruel guy. The militant was unforgivingly harsh with his beatings, rough in handling anyone. He hated select people, and tolerated close to no one. But not exactly no one. She was his exception.

He had hated her at first. So coy and shy, sensitive to his insults and insane way of thinking. She was his complete opposite. He was cruel, insensitive, unforgivable, violent and rough. She was shy, sensitive, forgiving, oddly sensual and gentle. She reminded him of how he used to be. And he hated it. But soon, he noticed things that diffrentiated her from him entirely.

Her laugh. Her smile. He couldnt remember the last time he had smiled or laughed at something domestic and mundane. Something that wasnt sadistic. But she did it so effortlessly. Her little giggle building up to a muffled laugh at the jokes of the other Beach residents. Her smile whenever she passed by anyone. Her smile when she passed by him.

So genuine, and pretty. She was so polite. Her voice whenever she answered to him or simply asked about his day if they were passing by each other. It had him questioning things about his own self. His morals, his ideals. What if he liked his opposite? What if he finally found someone worth living and dying for? Someone who made it all worth it, made him want to be better? He could try for her. Would it be so bad? Jeez, that sounded like an obsession. But no one can blame him, he was never used to gentleness and care. So he was getting greedy.

Now he watches her nervously fidgetting as shes being questioned by some other militants. They wanted a reason to beat her, or do worse. And honestly, he had given them the idea. But it just slipped out. Without much thought, he said something horrible, which lead up to this. She wasnt a traitor. They all knew so. The real reason they had ushered her into this secluded room was obvious. Her tears and her trembling had him wanting to look away. But he, instead, moved closer to her, leaning down to her eye level as she was sat down on the end of the bed.

"Dont worry, please." He cooed, tilting his head and offering his own grin to her. His grin was different from her smile. His grin was- scary, in all honesty. It always seemed cruel and mocking, even when he wasnt mocking anyone.
