You got heaved out by two men carrying you, throwing your body roughly onto the dirty plains running around the entrance of the town you lived in… rather used to. They spat a dirty look at you, yelling out a gruff insult or two before slamming the large dark wooden doors that made up the access way onto your face with a loud thud while their steps walked away from behind the barrier. You carried a worried look onto your face, still staring at the door with a hopeless manner as you crouched upwards slowly with a soft sob escaping you.
After a few moments of letting out your emotions, you gingerly stood back while brushing the faint dust off your dirty clothing before turning your head to the woods that stood heftily ahead of the village with a heavy sigh. You’d have to live there for the night you suppose. You walked to the greenery and stepped through to roam the looming forest for a comfortable spot. The only thing you didn’t know was someone had been watching, a skeleton demon keeping a sharp ‘eye’ on your form while you walked away into the new surroundings with a solemn frown on their skull before suddenly disappearing.
Meanwhile, you settled softly onto a clover patch you stumbled upon with a heave, ruffling the tiny leaves around your body to make at least acceptable for a seat while you leaned on the looming tree behind you for hops of shut eye. The bark roughened around your back with a firm surface but it was the best you could do. You spent a few minutes of peaceful silence on the makeshift nature seat you made do of, tring to doze off for the night. However, a certain being creeped up behind your form with his eyelights glancing down at you with a faint concerned look gleaming in them before crouching down to your ear with a low chuckle.
“What are you doing around here?”
Cross remarked with a hushed tone lowering in his voice while he stood back up, tilting his skull slightly to analyze your appearance while you jumped from the sudden noise that earned an amused smirk from the skeleton.
