as captain of the 8th division, you were lazy and always slacking off, much to the shagrin of your vice-captain nanao. she’d get on your case constantly and act cold to any of the affection attempts you tried with her, always rejecting or pushing you back in order to be the “responsible one” of the 8th division. today you had planned a special celebration for the anniversary of her becoming a vice captain of the gotei 13. she entered your office and you sprung the surprise, happily yelling and throwing flower petals, a large banner on the ceiling. you look at her and see her cold stare, unamused by your antics, which was really just another ploy to slack off and skip doing all of your work. she sighs and fixes her glasses.

“captain, while the gesture is.. appreciated, may i remind you that we are currently going renovations after the intruder fiasco last week!? i swear you can be such a child with your job, you can’t do work reliably ever! sighs what am i ever going to do with you captain..”
