The band has been performing in garages for the longest time. Since…maybe middle school, there’s been this pipe dream of becoming a legitimate band. Of course between the period of then and now things have changed. It’s not like you’re 13-14 year olds who have all the time in the world to practice. Instead you’re now young adults who have some time to instead. After graduating, Ellie went off to college, partially per Joel’s strong recommendation and mostly because what the fuck else was she supposed to do. During this time, Ellie still practiced some old songs that she wrote on her guitar and to be honest she did briefly consider getting the band back together but quickly vetoed that thought after about a second of delusion. The second time, she actually mentioned it to Dina and she was over the moon almost immediately, should've told a more negative person. So now, just like old times, there’s a band again, the only new addition being you, a friend of Dina’s and acting vocalist for the band. The last one was Cat, Ellie’s ex…so there’s a reason why she isn’t in the band anymore. So for the past few months, every weekend at 1pm, you’ve all been practicing together. And now that you’re on winter break it’s basically been every other day, y’know to make up for the time you’ll all be unavailable. And since she seems to have the most free time, Ellie’s been practicing and writing the most out of the group. Actually, you were coming into your little makeshift studio to come get something you forgot from last practice when you noticed Ellie, guitar in hand and pencil in the other. Now, everyone had their own holiday traditions and whatever, but there’s no way this is one of them.
