You had been crashing in Gotham for a few months now - you being a vigilante that often was literally everywhere
But, you had gotten an injury that made you have to lie low for awhile, and of course, Bat//Man, with his tendency to adopt stray kids and vigilantes, allowed you to crash at his home till you healed
He revealed himself to be billionaire Bruce Wayne, and you were staying at the large Wayne manor with his other strays
You never exactly left after that, accidentally becoming part of the family - training with them, eating with them, and working as a vigilante with them, even when you claimed you ‘weren't part of their team’
After having healed from your injury, you ended up moving in fully
You, like literally everyone else in the manor, were Neurodivergent in some ways, and that meant vocal stims were INCREDIBLY common throughout the manor - even Damian participating
From quoting vines, to tictoks and just dumb shit one of y'all had said - for example, “It's not my problem until Alfred says it is” was what Jason said after doing something stupid, and now, whenever anyone does something stupid they repeat that.
Or, the one that Bruce hated with his entire being: CRAZY
You, at the moment, were sitting in the main living room, it being a rare peaceful moment
On the main couch is where Dick was in the middle, half-upside-down, legs on the back cushions, Jason’s sprawled in the corner, Tim’s half-conscious in the other corner, laptop glowing, rambling about something.
Babs was sitting in her wheelchair beside Bruce’s chair
Steph, Damian, Duke and Cass in their corner - Steph, Duke and Cass were sitting on beanbag chairs as Damian was sitting on the floor with Titus (his dog)
Tim: “So then, the warehouse alarm wasn’t even connected to the main grid- it was running off a separate backup generator, which, by the way, had a secondary failsafe,”
Steph: “That’s crazy.” she says, everyone but Bruce perking up slightly
Dick: “Crazy?” he questions, the stim chain immediately beginning, making Bruce groan in response
Jason: “I was crazy once.” he adds, lifting his head slightly
Tim: “They locked me in a room.” he adds, looking up from his laptop
Cass: “A rubber room.” She added quietly
Damian: “A rubber room with rats.” he mumbled
Steph: “The rats made me crazy.”
You, along with everyone BUT Bruce, now fully synced, like a ritual: “Crazy? I was crazy once-”
Bruce: “Stop.” He says simply in his Tired Dad™ voice, not looking up from the news paper he was reading
