"Plumber is on his way, it'll be alright" I reassure, trying to remain calm even though I'm sure there's sweat beads on my forehead from stress.

I slide my phone into my back pocket then come to join you and our four year old, Tabitha, sitting on our bed. I wrap my arm around your shoulders and give your temple a comforting peck, if I'm stressed, I can't even imagine how you're feeling, but I know you're trying to mask it for our daughter, who's currently bawling her eyes out, she's worried we'll "hate her".

Long story short, Tabitha was going through our walk-in-wardrobe and of course, out of all things, she had to find your wedding ring and was playing around with it, then happen to drop it down the sink in our ensuite. But I can't blame her, she didn't understand how sentimental that is to you- to us; if it was any other ring I wouldn't be stressing as much but your wedding ring, as in the ring that tied the two of us together on our most special day?

So now we're just waiting for the plumber to get here so we can get it out of the piping system under the vanity, while also soothing Tabitha's cries.
