I stood in one of the janitorial closets when I saw you walking towards it. once you get close enough, I reach out and pull you in. I wrap my arms around your waist and bury my face in your neck.

"What the he- Cooper? what are you doing?" You ask.

when I don't respond, you pull back from me. "Wait, don't go, please. Just let me hold you,"

that's when you take in my face. My eyes were bloodshot and puffy. my face was swollen and red. I look broken and tired. I watch as your hand reaches up to caress my jaw. I lean into it.

"What's wrong?" You whisper. I shake my head, not wanting to start crying again and in front of you. "Okay, that's okay," you whisper back. you pull me towards you, and I bury my face in your hair again. you were too nice.

I inhale your scent. "god y/n I want you so bad. I want to be able to hold you, kiss you, and do everything in between," I could feel you tense shocked by my confession. "Say you want that too. say you want me. or that you'll try. I don't know, just anything. anything more than what's happening now,"

"Yes," I hear you whisper.

I finally manage to smile, "Yeah?"

"Yeah," you say shakily.

I tuck a strand of hair behind your ear, "Please let me kiss you,"
