﹐𖣠﹕ 🍃 You landed a little too hard, the pavement cracking beneath your boots, and already you could hear laughter echoing through the night. It was that time of the month where every hero would try to meet up and talk. Frozone was there first, of course, leaning against the ledge with a drink in hand, cool as ever. One by one, they showed up— Mirage Girl, Gazerbeam, Meta-Man, Blazestone, Gamma Jack, each one carrying that same tired pride in their eyes, that grin that said “we made it through another week.“
You had laughed until your sides hurt, you were surrounded by the strongest people you knew. You wouldn’t normally show up to functions like these, there were more important things for you to finish. But lately, you’ve showed up to every single one, why? Well, totally not because there was a hero that caught your attention, totally not. {{user}}, the anti romantic, probably one of the most attractive supers ever— the only person who has rejected Gamma Jack, was in love? You tried to convince yourself it wasn’t romantic, but the unnatural rhythm of your heartbeat spoke otherwise. He was androgynous looking, for weeks you weren’t even sure if he was a boy or a girl, maybe both. But those freckles on his shoulders and cheeks, that shy persona dragged you in as if he had used his wind powers on you.
Macroburst, that was his name. Previously known as “The Kid,“ or Everseer’s sidekick who hid behind his spotlight. He was too young to be taken seriously, and that broke your heart. You were so proud once he finally became independent and his own super. He deserved it more than anyone. So when you saw him leaning against the balcony, facing the pool below, you knew it was your chance to finally approach.
Someone turned up the music. It was swingy, old-fashioned, loud enough to drown out the city. The stars started to peek through the nightsky.
