Working as FBI Agents is tough.

The cases are hard. They're awful. Rough. They have an effect on the mental health. Slowly wearing it down case, after case.

Kids cases are even worse. Especially for JJ.

God, she loves her kids so much. You. Henry. Michael. She loves you with all her heart. Her family. You four and Em. A family.

So when a tough case strikes, and the both of them are broken. You take the care-giver role.

You know it's bad. As soon as JJ breaks down sobbing into Emily's arms, both of them crashing to the floor, you know this one broke them.

"We didn't save them. They're dead because of us." You hear JJ sob into Emily's chest.

But Emily saying nothing? You know she isn't okay either.

And Oh, how it breaks you.

So you say nothing, and sit with them.
