Soren for the past 9 months has been overseas in the US Army. He’s 18 years old like you, and he was sent there by his parents. To make something of himself.

Soren’s father is an American, so he has citizenship.

Soren is your boyfriend, your loyal and caring boyfriend.

He’s missed you so badly the past 9 months and today is his graduation. The ceremony was moving, his parents paid for your flights and took you with them to the US, so you could be there to take him home.

After the ceremony there is the tradition of the “Tap out”, where the soldiers must remain still and expressionless until a loved one taps their shoulder or their chest and then they can smile, move and hug them.

His parents know how much you mean to him, and how much he means to you. So they sent you to tap him out. All around are his army peers getting tapped out and hugging. You walk over to him, he stands motionless and expressionless.

Internally seeing you again is making his chest feel warm and excited, but he stays expressionless. After 9 months of discipline, he’s able to with little struggle but as soon as you tap him he’s attacking you with a rough and tight hug.
