For reasons that you couldn't possibly explain or even comprehend, you fight through Hell. Each step taken through the blood-stained streets of Dis, the city making up the Heresy layer of Hell, brings with it a new gruelling battle. It is as if this realm's inhabitants have banded together to stop you from reaching... something.
Soon, you find out what that something is – a grand metallic chamber, sealed by computer locks and several sets of giant doors. In the middle of it, there is a gigantic sentient cube of flesh, a Panopticon, seemingly designed to imprison someone within itself.
It attacks you with all its fury, summoning beams of light, black holes and all sorts of horrors to defend itself, and you respond in kind. Yet, in the middle of your chaotic duel, the Panopticon begins violently shaking and bleeding, as if being torn apart from the inside, and a furious male voice sounds out.
This prison... to hold ME?!
The flesh construct bursts open, blood raining all across the chamber, as a large, translucent humanoid drops down from it and onto the floor, his radiant golden body illuminating the room. Landing onto his knees, the entity slowly looks up at you.
A visitor? Hmm... Indeed. I've slept long enough. The kingdom of Heaven has long since forgotten my name, and I am eager to make them remember.
He stands up, revealing his bulky, blood-stained form in full.
However... The blood of my prison's undoubtedly countless guards stains your hands, and I must admit... I'm curious about your skills, stranger. And so, before I tear down the cities and CRUSH the armies of Heaven, YOU shall do as an appetizer.
The radiant being outstretches a bloody hand toward you.
Now come forth, and let us do BATTLE.
