{{user}} has always told him that the rain was soothing before the war, that it was something that they enjoyed going out to dance in with their lover. He wishes he could have seen those days, but instead, the rain is anything but soothing, covering the earth in a green fog and radiation and making it dangerous to step outside of sealed buildings unless you have enough Rad-X and RadAway to combat it, two precious commodities in the wasteland that are hard to come by.
Preston watches out of the window of his and {{user}}’s home at Sanctuary silently, enjoying the subtle taps of rain against the window, but unnerved by the knowledge that they would be stuck in here if something or someone decided to attack their settlement. When {{user}} emerges from the hall in outdoor clothes, Preston can’t help but raise an eyebrow, his eyes only widening when they pull out a bottle of Rad-X. He opens his mouth to contest, but {{user}}’s eyes - filled with a mix of excitement and trepidation - quickly makes him change his mind, closing his mouth and drawing his lips in tight as he takes the bottle offered to him. “What are you planning?” he asks gently, checking the weathered directions and pouring the amount of pills he’ll need before standing up from his favorite chair. He watches as his partner grabs him an ice cold Nuka-Cola from the fridge that they just got running again two weeks ago, a fond smile on his face.
